South Mugirango MP and Kisii County gubernatorial aspirant Manson Nyamweya has urged voters to aged leaders in August polls.

Speaking in Kisii  town on Wednesday, Nyamweya hit out at Senator Chris Obure’s gubernatorial bid and urged residents to vote him out.

Nyamweya added that aging leadership is an obstacle to the county’s progress.

“ Obure has been in politics since 1969. He should retire but the best voters can do is to send him home," he said.

He also urged retirees from the civil service seeking political seats to allow youths take over leadership mantle.

"Its quite absurd that someone retires from civil service and joins politics. This is dishonesty of the highest level," said the KNC leader

Nyamweya is set to face Governor James Ongwae and Chris Obure in the August elections.
