Mandera Woman

Representative

Fathia Mahbub  has urged Kenyans to vote for leaders who have integrity in the August 8 general election.

Addressing supporters in Mandera Town on Sunday, Mahbubua sked voters to vet aspirants and only vote for those that meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the constitution.

She said that the country will realize its development if leaders with integrity are elected.

The Woman Rep said that corruption and tribalism will remain a serious challenge if voters elect leaders with questionable characters.

“My appeal is to voters to vote in leaders who have integrity and the zeal to push the development agenda forward,” she said as quoted by the Standard.

The Woman Rep also cautioned voters against being swayed by politician’s hand-outs.

She alleged that some politicians are dishing out money to sway voting. Mahbub asked the IEBC to investigate and crack the whip on aspirants flouting the electoral code of conduct.

She at the same time appealed to Kenyans to remain peaceful and shun politicians agitating for violence.

The Woman called on the government to enhance security across the country as Kenyans prepare to vote on August 8.
