Kiambu woman Representative Ann Nyokabi has asked locals to vote for leaders who have realistic manifestos and agenda.

Nyokabi said that some politicians are presenting fake manifestos that are not achievable and using them to woo for support.

Speaking during a meet the people tour in Ruiru Town on Wednesday, Nyokabi cautioned locals against endorsing leaders with fake promises.

She urged Kiambu locals to only vote for leaders who will push for development. “Don’t pick leaders basing on the amount of wealth they have or their tribes but endorse them basing on their ability to deliver,"she said.

Nyokabi also warned locals against voting for politicians with questionable character. She said that integrity matters when it comes to leadership adding that politicians with rot character should be kicked out.

The Kiambu Woman Rep called for peaceful campaigns during party primaries and the subsequent August 8 polls.

“We must keep peace and remain untied as a country especially this time we are heading to the polls,” she said.

Nyokabi who is seeking re-election urged youths to observe peace and shun politicians who might want to use them to cause violence.
