Opposition leader Raila Odinga has asked residents in the North Rift region to support his Presidential bid saying he is the best bet to steer the country to greater heights.
Addressing hundreds of supporters who turned up for the National Super Alliance (Nasa) rally at the 64 stadium in Eldoret town, Wednesday, Raila exuded confidence that he was headed for a win in the next months polls and asked voters in the region to 'join the winning team'.
"August 8 will go down in this country's history as the day Kenyans voted for change and I want to ask you people of Uasin Gishu, Nandi and Elgeyo Marakwet not to allow history to leave you behind.
Be part of this history by voting for me to be your President," Raila said."Kenyans have said never again will they return to Egypt and if you are still in Jubilee then you want to go back there since Jubilee's vehicle has a drunkard driver and a conductor who is a thief," he added amid cheers and laughter from the crowd.
During his speech, Raila promised that he would reduce the cost of living across the country within the first 100 days of his administration.
"When I take over this country's leadership, Education will be absolutely free to every child, everybody will have access to healthcare with or without the money, there will be no corruption and for the first 100 days I will work on reducing the cost of basic commodities like Maize flour and Sugar," said the ODM leader.
Earlier, the Nasa team had split into three which enabled them take their campaigns to several parts of Uasin Gishu, Nandi and Elgeyo Marakwet counties which are considered Jubilee strongholds.
