President Uhuru Kenyatta has launched his campaigns in Abagusii land as he seeks to retain his seat in the October 26 repeat polls.

While speaking in the home turf of Chief Justice David Maraga on Thursday, the Head of State said his government has embraced the community by ensuring their sons hold some of the highest offices in his government, hence the community should stick with him for greater gains.

"I am asking you to walk with me. I am asking you for votes...our rivals says Jubilee does not unite people...do not be deceived," he said.

"How many Kisiis are in NASA? It is a question of rights, when you look at our government, Ruto is the DP, who is in charge of security? Who is in charge of education? Is it a Kikuyu or a Kalenjin," he added.

Uhuru said the truth should be told - that Central Bank chairman Mohamed Nyaoga is from the community.

"Isn't he your child? Can you really say you have been locked out? Let us walk together," he said.

The Head of State is also expected to receive some of the local leaders who have decamped to Jubilee.
