Mvita MP Abdulswamad Nassir has urged Coast residents to vote out all Jubilee aspirants in the region.
The MP claimed that the Jubilee government had failed the region in terms of development.
Speaking at a Mombasa hotel during a political meeting on Wednesday, Nassir accused President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto of duping coastal electorates that they were committed to ending historical land injustices, while in real sense they were doing nothing about it.
“We want to teach this Jubilee aspirants a lesson and send a very clear message to them that coastal people can’t be bought,” said Nassir.
The legislature also hit out at politicians who had ditched ODM, saying their political career was over.
“Those who have decamped to Jubilee will never see the corridors of power again if they don't come back to ODM,” said Nassir.
He termed the politicians as betrayers who were not interested in the affairs of the people, and were only serving their own financial interests.
Leaders from the region who have joined Jubilee include Kilifi North MP Gideon Mungaro, Lunga Lunga MP Khatib Mwashetani and Likoni MP Masoud Mwahima.
