Cherangany MP Wesley Korir has challenged Kenyans to vote out President Uhuru Kenyatta during the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking in Bindura, Trans Nzoia county, the lawmaker cited the high cost of living in the country, observing that it was enough reason to send the Jubilee adminstration home.
“Now that the Jubilee government has imported maize from Mexico at Sh4,000 a bag, we want to ask them to buy maize from farmers at the same price and not Sh3,000 as they have been mistreating us,” he noted.
Korir participated in the just concluded Jubilee Party primaries but lost the ticket to former MP Joshua Kuttuny who made a dramatic comeback to active politics.
Kuttuny lost to Korir during the 2013 general elections.
Korir accused Deputy President William Ruto of orchestrating his political downfall by "fixing" him.
“In 2013, I joined Parliament as an independent candidate, but there is one Judas Iscariot who kissed me, lied to me and later betrayed and crucified me publicly,” the legislator said while making reference to the DP.
