ODM leaders in Mombasa have urged residents in the county to embrace the six-piece voting pattern, to ensure the party clinches all the elective seats in the Coastal city.

The politicians warned that NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga risks being impeached if he wins the August 8 polls, should ODM fail to clinch enough seats in the National Assembly.Speaking in Nyali on Friday during the party’s charm offensive of the constituency, the MPs led by Jomvu lawmaker Badi Twalib, said that ODM should get enough members in parliament if Raila is to implement his policies as a President.“If Raila becomes President, he must have powers. So I urge you to vote for ODM members so that Baba (Raila) can implement his policies. We don’t want Raila to be a weak President. Do you want Raila to fail to be impeached? Then vote for ODM candidates including Saido here in Nyali.Said Abdalla, alias Saido, is the ODM candidate in the Nyali MP race.Twalib said should Raila form the next government, his appointees may not be approved by parliament as he may not have the numbers to enable the approval.Twalib’s sentiments were backed by Mombasa Women Representative Mishi Mboko who urged residents to vote for ODM candidates, arguing that for Raila to be a strong President, he should have numbers in parliament.
