Mr Makori Onsando said that the High Court did not give enough reasons as to why they dismissed the case and allowed Governor Ongwae to be in office.

According to him, the evidence he provided in court was enough to nullify the election.

"I was ordered to pay Sh 5 million when we lost the case reason I have moved to the court of appeal as I seek justice," he said.

Through his lawyer, Mr Onsando argued that the election conducted on August 8, 2017, was not done in accordance with the law.

He moved to the court of appeal after the Kisii High Court upheld the win of Governor Ongwae saying that the petitioner did not provide enough evidence in his case.

The court battle is expected to begin once the Governor’s lawyers are served with the high court appeal notification.
