Electoral body IEBC has commenced registration of eligible voters in colleges and universities across the country.
In a press statement, the commission appealed for support from varsity management and student leadership.
“Student registration in universities and colleges will happen from 8th – 14th Feb 2017. Institutions will be published on our website (www.iebc.or.ke),” said IEBC.
The commission said the exercise will be undertaken in consultation with the respective institutions.
Once the BVR kits are opened, students will be allowed to register in any centre of their choice countrywide.
The mass voter registration exercise will come to an end on February 14.
So far, the Commission says it has registered 2.16 million new voters, which is below their target.
