IEBC has called upon voters who were registered before November 2012 to register afresh if they want to participate in the coming elections.
The electoral commission said on Monday that those who registered from 2012 November 19 to December 18 will not need to register afresh since their details are in the BVR database.
"The data collected during that period is what forms part of the voter register used in the 2013 general elections," said IEBC media and communications manager Andrew Limo.
“Please note that the only other registration that happened before the 2012 registration is the one conducted in preparation for the 2010 referendum. That registration is no longer valid," he said.

The ongoing Mass Voter Registration aims at enlisting those registered prior to November 2012 and IEBC says they have up to February 14 to register.
According to the latest voter registration records, Nairobi is leading in the number of registered voters.
