Jubilee Party has exuded the confidence of winning the repeat presidential election set for later this month.

Party Vice-Chairman David Murathe said the ruling party was not concerned by the withdrawal of NASA leader Raila Odinga from the poll, adding that President Uhuru Kenyatta was looking forward to winning with a high percentage."We are targeting 11 million votes and if we get eight million or more, we will have achieved our aim. Some people said in 2013 we won because of ICC, this time there are no cases but we will win," he told the Sunday Nation.Murathe said the Opposition alliance is no longer control of their support bases after Jubilee made spirited inroads in the perceived NASA strongholds."Jubilee is consolidating and cannibalising NASA and, on its part, NASA is just haemorrhaging," said the former Gatanga MP.President Kenyatta on Saturday begun marathon campaigns in 17 counties ahead of the election, which the Opposition has vowed to boycott. In Murang'a and Kiambu counties, he urged his supporters not to be misled by the NASA leaders that there will be no election, urging them to turn in large numbers to re-elect him."Help me win on October 26 to ensure we continue with the Jubilee agenda of transforming the country," Kenyatta pleaded with residents, speaking at Ndumberi stadium, Saturday.
