Voters have been disrupted in Kitui after voting materials were destroyed by continued rains.

The materials include ballot papers and boxes. This happened on today after a school bus carrying the materials was swept by flooding water.

All the ballot papers were completely damaged after being soaked in water. The materials were being distributed to different parts of Kitui but the bus got stuck at Majengo.

Voting was also disrupted in some parts of Wajir due to the heavy rains in the region. Despite all this, Kenyans have turned out in big numbers especially in Jubilee strongholds to cast their votes.President Kenyatta cast his vote at Mutomo Primary School Gatundu North Constituency at around ten minutes to 11 am. Mt Kenya region has registered fair turnout but perceived Nasa regions only registered protests and other related activities in boycotting the election.
