Kiambu Woman Rep hopeful Gathoni Wa Muchomba has cautioned Kenyans against voting for non-development conscious leaders in the August 8 polls.
The aspirant says that most of the current leaders holding public office have no value and time for development.
Speaking during a prayer rally at St Patrick Primary School Grounds in Thika, the aspirant said that most of the social economic issues facing the country has been caused by poor leadership.
The aspirant stated that time has come for Kenyans to vote out leaders who only champion their selfish interests.
“Kenyans must wake up and make proper decisions on the kind of people they want to elect to office,” she said.
The aspirant said that the country will achieve and realize its development agenda if right leaders are elected to office.
“You (voters) should not be fooled by political parties, vote basing on individuals ability to deliver development,” she added.
The aspirant at the same time urged women to come out and vie for elective seats.
The former Kameme FM presenter noted that women are shying away from active politics.
Wa Muchomba alongside anti-drug crusader Gladys Chania are seeking to unseat Annah Nyokabi as Kiambu Woman representative in the August polls.
