Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) boss Eliud Wabukala has said he is willing to put his life on the line for the sake of the country.
Speaking on Sunday night during an interview with Citizen TV, Wabukala attributed his decision to go for the EACC to a call from God insisting he had no option but to apply for the feared job.
"I was convinced that this is the job God asked me to do. I personally would have felt convicted if I did not apply for the job. If I did not apply I would not be living in peace," he said.
"What would make me not to put my life on the line for the sake of my country? I am ready for this task," he posited.
The former head of the Anglican Church of Kenya however noted that corruption had been made big due to the constant debate about it but said that the talk would only make the fight against the vice even easier.
"It has become a big problem psyched in people's minds and that will make even the fight against it easy. What happens is that we have profiled corruption to make it look so big creating fear among Kenyans," he added.
