The former head of the Anglican Church of Kenya and now the chairman of the Ethics and Anti-corrupt, Eliud Wabukhala, has reiterated President Uhuru's message on the need to rein in corruption that has been undermining economic development. He also echoed the presidents call for unity.Wabukhala spoke in Nairobi at an event that saw the commission donate funds to the red cross.''When we live in peace, the challenges that the Red Cross deal with will be minimised. And, therefore, we appeal to everybody, as we had the message yesterday, let's follow it up... Let's talk towards supporting each other, towards healing, and towards refusing issues that divide us, towards issues that bring us together. Let us do to others what we want others to do to us.'' Wabukala said.Wabukhala's intervention comes in the context of a compounding political crisis. In his inaugural address, President Kenyatta rooted for unity and dialogue as he railed against violence and the politics of intimidation. The opposition has maintained that it will not recognise Uhuru Kenyatta's presidency as it was the culmination of a fraudulent process.
