Wahome said the information opposition was receiving from their agents in IEBC had no basis and they would cause unrest among Kenyans.

"The opposition must be having some people in IEBC who feed them with half-baked information, I am saying this with a lot of concern," Wahome told NTV's AMLive show

"Some of these things they come up with may end up causing mayhem in the country," she added

This comes after the accusation by the opposition that there were plans by the government to use the disbanded IEBC officials to sabotage the 2017 polls.

Wahome has rejected the claims by the opposition terming them baseless since the IEBC were just acting on their mandate to deliver credible elections in 2017. The legislator also alleged that there was a plan by the opposition to reject the new IEBC official that were expected to take office.

"IEBC is an organisation and they cannot stop working, we have a few months to elections and they must continue working for a good transition for the new officials," she said

"They have also raised questions regarding the appointments that are going to be made. They are saying they may not even accept the new officials," she added.
