Joshua Waiganjo has been imprisoned for five years by a Naivasha Court for impersonating a police officer.
The accused appeared on Wednesday before Senior Resident Magistrate Shardrack Mwinzi who found him guilty of five charges.
In his ruling, the magistrate said that the prosecution provided enough evidence to prove that the accused committed the following offenses; the first sheet of charge stated that the accused impersonated as a police officer contrary to the ethics and code of the national police commission.
On the second count, Waiganjo was accused of donning police uniform yet he is not a police officer.
The third sheet read that the accused flew in a police helicopter to investigate the massacre of officers in Baragoi .
The court further heard that the accused had 10 years in police service and had sacked and abused junior officers and attended top security meetings.
However the accused was exonerated the charges against robbery with violence as the prosecution failed to provide enough evidence to support the allegations.
The magistrate gave Waiganjo 14 days to appeal against the court verdict.
He was taken to Naivasha Gk Prison to serve his term of jail as he a waits to appeal the ruling.
