Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru [Photo/Hivisasa]On Monday, Anne Waiguru took her oath of office and made history as the one of the first Kenyan female county bosses following her success in the general election.
Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru assured residents she will not fail on implementing plans that gave in her manifesto.
Deputy President William Ruto was one of many who attended the event.
According to Waiguru, Kirinyaga residents were desperate for change hence the reason thy voted for her instead her competitors.
''What our critics fail to understand is that in the history of politics the world over, whenever the people want change absolutely nothing can stop it from happening," she said as reported by The Star.
"It happened in the US in 2008 when Barrack Obama was elected the first black President and in Liberia when Ellen Johnson was voted the first woman president."
She went on to congratulate her counterparts Joyce Laboso and Charity Ngilu following their inaugurations Monday.
