A latest opinion poll has indicated that Jubilee Party candidate for the Kirinyaga gubernatorial race, Anne Waiguru, is leading in approval rating and popularity.The former Devolution Cabinet Secretary has 55 per cent approval rating against former 2013 presidential candidate, Narc Kenya's Martha Karua, who has 35 per cent.The pollster by Trends & Insights For Africa (TIFA) Research Ltd, shows President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party enjoys 95 per cent support in the Central Kenya County, while Narc Kenya has 2 per cent, giving Waiguru mileage.

Incumbent governor, Joseph Ndathi who is seeking re-election as an Independent candidate, comes third, behind Karua, with 3 per cent popularity, with the undecided number of voters, standing at 7 per cent.According to the survey released Thursday, July 20, afternoon, President Kenyatta would beat his NASA rival Raila Odinga, in the number of votes in Kirinyaga County, by 93 per cent, against Raila's 1 per cent.
