The CS now claims that her concerted efforts to set issues right surrounding the NYS scandal have been drowned by Josephine Kabura's affidavit that, according to her, is seemingly perceived as true. Waiguru cites that the affidavit has worked to her disadvantage, dimming her chances to acquire justice in the matter as she seeks to clean her tainted reputation.

In her statement dated April 24, Waiguru made an urgent appeal to President Kenyatta to set up a tribunal to act as a commission of inquiry to get into the claims behind Kabura's sworn affidavit that adversely mentioned her as the lead personality in the scandal.

In the past, Kabura had made a submission that Waiguru helped her in seeking fast processing of her tenders and effecting payments for the goods and services delivered by her companies to the NYS.

Waiguru was forced to step aside from her prestigious position in the Jubilee government after her name appeared on the list of shame.
