Former Devolution Cabinet secretary Anne Waiguru has exuded confidence of winning the Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat.
Speaking on Wednesday during an interview with Radio Jambo, Waiguru dismissed recent reports that Kirinyaga Council of Elders had endorsed the incumbent Governor Joseph Ndathi for a second term, saying such a move is inconsequential.
"Their endorsement of my rival does not really worry me because at the end of the day, it is the voters who will decide who becomes their next governor. As elders they ought to be neutral," she said.
She boasted of her previous record at the Devolution and Planning docket saying she will deliver to her electorate now that she will only be handling one county unlike the 47 she had as a minister.
