Former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru has revealed the source of her campaign money for the next general election.
Speaking to a local daily, Waiguru who has since declared her interest in the Kirinyanga gubernatorial seat said she will seek funds just like any other politician.
"I have no money stashed somewhere for campaigns, I will fundraise like everyone else,” said Waiguru during an interview with NTV.
The former CS was responding to claims that she had looted the NYS funds kitty with the aim of using the money for her campaigns.
Waiguru last week officially joined The National Alliance where she was offered with a membership certificate.
Since her declaration to vie for the Kirianyaga County top seat, a number of pundits have predicted that she is the favourite to walk away with victory during the next general election.
She further, denied claims suggesting that stiff competition had forced her to back out of the Nairobi gubernatorial seat, as position she was likely to go for after quitting the cabinet.
