The ex Devolution CS, who was officially received as a member of The National Alliance party (TNA) announced that she is moving from being a civil servant to being a politician.
Waguiru said she is willing to support the yet to be ratified Jubilee Party.
The former devolution CS, who resigned amid claims of misappropriation of funds at the National Youth Service, hinted that she intends to give Kirinyaga Governor Joseph Ndathi a run for his money.
She at the same time called fellow women to venture into politics arguing that this would enhance the realisation of the two-thirds gender rule.
Waiguri was received by TNA's, Onyango Oloo, who later awarded her a golden membership certificate.
Oloo took the opportunity to reiterate that the anticipated Jubilee party will not have a preferred candidate in the elective seat.
The former CS was accompanied by TNA officials from Kirinyaga County.
She is set to tour Kirinyaga in what she terms as having a sit down with the people to discuss matters development.
