Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi says Deputy President William Ruto will pick Anne Waiguru as his running mate come 2022.
The DP has indicated he will vie for President in 2022 general election.
In his YouTube channel The 5th Estate, Ngunyi says to become president, one needs an enemy to keep him on toes. He says Ruto, currently, has no enemy, therefore his running mate will have been a bitter enemy.
“My hypothesis is that the person who will become his running mate will have been a bitter enemy, whether this person has been manufactured by an emanation, the way you produce a test tube baby to keep Ruto in check…is Peter Kenneth positioning himself to be Ruto’s running mate? I think he’s overrated…but I could also be wrong. Martha Karua? I wish she would be his running mate, though she’s not the one,” Ngunyi says.
“In my view, Ruto’s running mate will be none other than Ann Waiguru. Politically, she is a test tube baby manufactured with tenacity and raw aggression. Her assignment is to contain Ruto when he becomes President. Unlike Karua and Peter Kenneth, she will not argue or question her makers, she will therefore serve as a political insurance in a Ruto Presidency,” the political analyst adds.
Ruto and Waiguru have recently engaged in a war of words over the NYS scam.
The former Devolution Cabinet Secretary had linked Ruto’s aide, Farouk Kibet, to the Sh1.67 billion scandal.
DP Ruto in a rejoinder, told off Waiguru, saying she should carry her own cross since she presided over graft as CS.
Waiguru had announced she will seek Kirinyanga gubernatorial seat on a Jubilee Party ticket.
She will face Karua, who has also shown interest in the post.
