After being caught red handed with someone's wife in the ongoing devolution conference in Kakamega on Tuesday, Kirinyaga Deputy Governor Peter Ndambiri has owned up his mistakes.
While the police have remained tight lipped about the bizarre incident, various dignitaries mocked Kiringanya Governor Ann Waiguru following the embarrassing incident that has seen social media users deconstract the DG.
In a statement widely circulated on social media, the Ndambiri admits engaging in extramarital affairs and asks his wife for forgiveness.
"The first thing I did this morning was to pray to Al Mighty God to give me wisdom to won up mistakes," he said.
He further added: "I have apologised to my wife of many years who has always been my solid rock. I have denigrated her womanhood and made her a laughing stock to many. I will work hard to earn her trust back."
Ndambiri, who had claimed that the secret lover did not disclose that she was married, asked Kenyans to pray for him to be a better man.
Also, he pledged to work closely with his boss Ann Waiguru and President Uhuru Kenyatta to implement Jubilee manifesto.
"I admit my actions and ask for forgiveness.I will endeavor to give unwavering support to Waiguru as we work to implement our manifesto."
Earlier in the day, police insisted that the matter had not been reported but said investigations were ongoing to arrest the man who took the video.
