Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru on Wednesday gifted OrangeDemocratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga with an African horn.
This is after Raila delivered a keynote speech at the ongoing conference in Kakamega.
Waiguru, on behalf of the Council of Governors(CoG), presented the horn as a gesture for dialogue after the handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to the master of ceremony, the African horn was symbolic in that it was used to call people for consultative meetings
"The horn was used to call people to come and practice participatory democracy," he stated
Raila received the horn and blew it to signal he had commenced on his mission.
During his speech, Raila stated that Devolution was facing a major threat due to runaway corruption.
