Kiambu County youths have been urged to be innovative and come up with ideas that will earn them income and the government will support them.

County CeC in charge of youth affairs and sports, Machel Wakienda, has urged the youth to aim for success in the right way.

Waikenda said the sole purpose of the Kiambu Biashara Fund that was recently launched is to enhance the growth of the youths legally. The executive also urged the youths to focus on means to promote self-employment through funding innovative ideas and businesses with the highest job creation capacity.

The CeC said the youth should be inventors of your own theories, critiques of other people's ideas and analysers of evidence.

“The Sh300 million fund is an investment and advisory facility that provides aid to enterprises, both big and small. It aims at youths, women and those with disabilities. It also aims at supporting self-employed youths in the informal sectors to increase their revenue,” he said.

Kiambu governor William Kabogo while launching it in Kiambu Town urged the youths and all involved to get the very best of the fund to develop the county.

Kabogo stated that the fund will attract entrepreneurs to invest in the county.
