This comes after residents complained of poor sanitation in the region that threatens the living condition and state of health.

Waikenda who was speaking at Githurai market on Friday, expressed his frustration with poor state of Kiambu markets urging the residents to take initiative of cleaning the market.

He pointed out Madaraka, Kiandutu and Githurai as the most affected.

He urged traders to be concerned with their personal hygiene to attract customers.

“If you do not mind your hygiene customers will shy away from buying your products hence affecting your business negatively,” said Waikenda.

He called on Kiambu MCAs to spearhead cleanliness in their various markets to make Kiambu an admirable place of trade hence improving economic stability of the county.

The CeC has however hailed Kiambu county governor William Kabogo for his consistent support to area youths.

Meanwhile, Waikenda celebrated his 30th birthday in style as Githurai Youth Cleanup group surprised him with a birthday cake during the event.
