Kiambu County Sports and Youth Affairs Executive Michael Waikenda has urged national government to change the tactics it is using to address insecurity.
Waikenda urged the government not to sympathise with Kenyans who are helping Al shabaab Militants to carry out the attacks.
“We need to come up with the law which will mercilessly deal with both the Al shabaab and their sympathisers,” said Waikenda.
Waikenda said Kenyans are tired of attacks and losing their loved ones for no good reason.
At the same time he urged Kenyans to unite and work closely with law enforcers.
“We have lost great people, at Garissa University, who could have been of much help to our nation,” said Waikenda.
He added that it is painful for a nation to loose young and energetic people who had focus in life.
He urged Kenyans to come together and dispel the notion that terrorists are targeting christians.
“I am urging Kenyans to be united and not to allow religion to divide them,” urged Waikenda.
His call comes few days after Garissa University attack which claimed 148 lives.
