Political supremacy wars in Kiambu county are not ending anyy time soon as the intrigues of winning the forthcoming election continue.
Governor William Kabogo and Kabete lawmaker Ferdinand Waititu are seen as the dominant forces for the county's top seat.
On Monday Kabogo dismissed Waititu's bid terming him unfit for governorship for he has perfected the art of 'breaking the law by joining slum dwellers in violent activities.'
"I urge Kiambu people to avoid the mistake of electing a person who has total disregard of the law and known for mobilising slum dwellers in Nairobi to destroy private property," Kabogo told Mwihoko residents in Ruiru Sub-county.
He accused Waititu of a number of ills including land grabbing cases he committed while he was Embakasi MP which costed him Nairobi governorship.
"We have known him since he was Embakasi MP and we are aware of the many parcels of land he has grabbed in Eastlands. Now he comes here in pretext to grab our fertile lands," he said.
"Waititu knows slums in Nairobi not villages in Kiambu. What he can only do with our lands is to grab, not enhancing farming," he added.
Kabogo reiterated that Waititu is an opportunist who came to Kiambu due to its vast resources but his heart is always in Nairobi.
"When you see him endorsing some people in Nairobi to be governors, it means his heart and interests are there. He only came in Kiambu not to serve but our resources."
Waititu and Kabogo have traded accusations in the recent past with some ending in courts.
