While defending the government decision to deport Miguna for the second time, Waititu said that the Canadian based lawyer refused to adhere to the law and should stop lamenting for being deported.

Speaking to journalists at his Kiambu office on Thursday, Waititu said that Miguna is to blame for the troubles he is facing.

He noted that the NASA activist would not have been subjected to humiliation if he had cooperated with the Immigration officials.

“The government acted well and in good faith  by deporting Miguna because he had become a threat to security and a nuisance,” he said.

Waititu accused Miguna’s lawyers of misadvising him, adding that the Canadian lawyer should stop cheap publicity.

“Miguna should go and settle down and stop this drama because it will not help him anymore,” the Kiambu governor added.

Waititu also rubbished High court George Odunga’s move to convict Interior CS Fred Matinag’i, Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet and Immigration Director Gordon Kihalangwa.

He termed the High court conviction 'laughable and inconsequential'.

Miguna was deported to Dubai on Wednesday night on grounds that he was undocumented passenger and could not be allowed entry into the country.

His second deportation has been condemned with politicians allied to the opposition accusing the Jubilee government of disobeying court orders and disregarding the rule of law.
