Following increased cases of kidnapping in Juja, area MP Francis Waititu has today assured locals that the police are on the ground to ensure these cases become history in the area.

This is following back to back cases of kidnapping. On Thursday, a 12-year-old girl was reported missing after she was sent to the shop at around 5 pm and she didn’t come back.This was the 12th case in a month in the area.

Waititu called on an immediate solution today after he met security personnel in the area and the pubic to address the issue. Speaking at Utumishi Hall in Juja town, Waititu said that the cases of kidnapping had risen and it was now time to stop the vice.He said the area was full of posters of lost people in the area who got kidnapped during the day.

He said an immediate solution was needed to curb the vice. He said that the targets were women and children who get kidnapped and most of them are not seen again leaving the families in grief. He said in order to fight the vice it was time to be one and work together.

‘’I have had a meeting with the police bosses and administrators and measures have been put across to curb the vice. I also want to challenge residents to report of any suspicious behaviour among individuals as they might be kidnappers," he said.
