Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu has been declared the winner for  Jubilee primaries in the Kiambu governor’s race.

Waititu clinched the seat after garnering 353,604 votes against incumbent governor William Kabogo's 69,916 votes.

Kabogo on Tuesday night conceded defeat in earlier hours of counting the votes.

According to Kabogo, dark forces were behind his shock defeat to Waititu.

Kiambu is considered a Jubilee stronghold and whoever wins is considered the governor in waiting.
