Kabete parliamentary aspirant Ferdinand Waititu has vowed that when elected into office, 80 percent of tenders will be awarded to youths, women and people with disabilities.
Waititu said that he will personally ensure he caters for the registration of 1000 youth groups, 500 women groups, and 250 for people with disabilities for tenders in the constituency immediately he is sworn into power.
The former Embakasi MP, who was speaking in Kabete town together with Kabete ward administrator Walter Ndambo on Monday, revealed that he will connect the youths with banks that will fund their projects to qualify for the tenders he will be setting in place.
He said that there will be no discrimination of youths in Kabete and Kiambu County, and he will not relent in offering quality services to the people who elected him into office.
“There will be no discrimination of youths, no matter how rich or poor, and in Kabete we will not care because we are all equal,” said Waititu.
Waititu further said that in Kabete, not everyone is educated, thus he will empower youths and help them access jobs in the county government if he will be the next MP or governor in the region.
“I am aware that not that not everyone in Kabete is well educated thus I will help youths access jobs like county drivers, UN drivers, embassy drivers and government jobs,” vowed Waititu.
He further added that the Kanjeru-Kamuguga road will be tarmacked, since it is among the 10 kilometer president Uhuru Kenyatta promised.
He however adivised youths not to be misguided by leaders in the county who expect nothing but his downfall.
