The newly elect Kabete MP Ferdinard Waititu has promised his constituents that he will resume work immediately, in a bid to fulfill his pledges and continuing the legacy of his predecessor.
Waititu has also promised to disburse bursaries to all needy students amid reopening for the second term. He was speaking today in Kabete, where he thanked the people for voting in large numbers where he clinched the seat in a landslide.
I will go to the CDF offices tomorrow and we shall reopen for a fresh start and set on to serve the people of Kabete without wasting time. We shall issue bursary and cheques to all deserving students to ensure that every child has access to education.” He asserted.
He also promised to disburse Uwezo Funds to the youth to spearhead development among the youths across the sub county.
Waititu is set to host President Uhuru Kenyatta in Kabete soon for a thanksgiving event to the constituents. In addition, he affirmed that the visit by the president will allow him to plan on the expected financing of road projects that are budgeted for the national government.
“I talked to the president and he will be visiting this constituency soon. We are aware of the state of several roads including Wangige-Nyathuna road which lie in the mandate of KERRA. We shall discuss subsequent financing of these projects which will commence forthwith”, said Waititu.
