Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu has laughed off claims that he is not in good terms with his deputy James Nyoro.
Waititu alias 'Baba Yao' states that they are working in unity with his deputy.
Speaking to journalist at his Kiambu office on Monday, Waititu accused the media of allegedly spreading false information regarding their unity.
“It is malicious and unprofessional for some media outlets to write and air false reports with intention of getting huge audience,” said Waititu.
The Kiambu governor said that he and his deputy will not pay attention to media propaganda.
He stated that they are working together to ensure Kiambu residents get development.
Waititu said that reports of bad blood between him and his deputy is a ploy by propagandists to bring the county and their unity down.
Waititu indicated that leaders who campaigned under the 'United for Kiambu' umbrella signed an agreement to work together in up-lifting the county’s development agenda.
There have been reports that Waititu and Nyoro are experiencing wrangles especially in the management of county policy affairs.
Last week, Nyoro denied claims of planning quitting his job, stating that he is committed to his work as deputy governor.
The governor asked Kiambu people to ignore the rumours and pledge their support to Governor Waititu's government.
