Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu has been summoned by police in Limuru to record a statement after he was linked to destruction of private property.
Waititu allegedly led a group of youth in destroying the property in Ndiuni Village in Limuru last Sunday.
According to Limuru OCPD Mohammed Bakuli, the youth allegedly led by the MP demolished a perimeter wall built around a quarry.
Residents have been proposing that a dam be excavated on the land in question thinking it is a public land.
Bakuli said all those mentioned were being asked to record statements with a view of helping apprehend the actual culprits in a court of law. He further cautioned area residents to desist from politicising the matter.
"This is a private property and I wonder why politicians are getting involved," he said.
