Kiambu Governor hopeful Ferdinand Waititu has dismissed claims that there is bad blood between him and Governor William Kabogo.

Waititu says that despite their political rivalry and differences, they respect each other.

Speaking in an interview on K24 on Thursday, Waititu said that their political rivalry has been mistaken and equated to enmity.

“There is no bad blood or feelings between Kabogo and I. We differ on political issues only,” he said during the interview.

The governor hopeful who floored Kabogo in the Jubilee Party nominations said that he will be consulting on key development if he goes ahead to win the August 8 polls.

Waititu lauded Kiambu locals for trusting and voting him in the nominations. He said that he was sure of beating Kabogo but he did not expect to win with a huge margin.

The Governor hopeful urged locals to remain peaceful saying that his administration will champion their interests if it forms the government in the August polls.

Waititu humiliated Kabogo in the nominations garnering 353,604 votes against Kabogo’s 69,916.

Kabogo conceded defeat but claimed that unnamed powerful people in Jubilee did not want him to be governor.
