Juja MP Francis Munyua Waititu wants governors to accept a plan by the state to equip 94 hospitals countrywide with modern state-of-the art medical equipment.
Waititu said it was a shame to see the governors pouring cold water on the whole plan for their own good while ignoring the plight of their electorates.
Waititu spoke yesterday in Juja, saying that the machines would go a long way in improving healthcare at the counties.
"Healthcare is not something to play politics with. They should have said no to something else but not to this noble plan by the national government,” said Waititu.
Waititu blames the governors for their refusal, saying such refusals were motivated by greed.
"They wanted a situation where they would have sourced the machines themselves so that they could save for their pockets. Let them know that time is running out and this may cost them a lot,” Waititu said.
Waititu has asked the senators to intervene on the matter saying that they were the link between the county government and the state.
