Waititu also says that he has created many enemies than friends in the last one month over the ongoing crackdown on illicit brews and outlawed liquor.

Speaking to journalists at his Kiambu office on Wednesday, the Jubilee governor said that he will not fear, adding that illicit brew menace must end.

“I am determined to end illicit brew and help drug addict’s reform and start life afresh,” the Kiambu governor said.

Waititu added that he will not fall to intimidation, alleging that some politicians are inciting residents against him and his government.

The Kiambu governor claimed that some politicians organised youth to boo him down during his Kikuyu sub-county visit last week.

The governor asked Kiambu residents to stand with him, adding that illicit brew is to blame for the counties high poverty levels.

Waititu said that the county government will allocate funds in the coming financial year to rehabilitate drug addicts.
