Kiambu County Deputy Governor Dr James Nyoro has denied claims that he is planning to resign following the internal wrangles witnessed between him and Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu.
Speaking during an interview on Hot 96 FM, Nyoro said that he is not planning on resigning anytime soon, adding that he will serve the people of Kiambu until his term ends in 2022.“The next step is that I am not resigning. I am preparing to resign in 2022. In the meantime I hope that because I have no personal problems with Waititu, we can sit down and agree to work together,” said Nyoro.Nyoro noted that he has no personal differences with Baba Yao, adding that he is not fighting for material gain nor is he seeking to compete with the county boss financially. “People should get it clear, Nyoro is not fighting to be equal to Waititu in terms of money. I know my position. I respect him (Waititu) and I always give him his due respect. All I am saying is that let us work together,” he added.Nyoro had earlier termed his relationship with Waititu as torturers, arguing that he has undergone humiliation for the months he has been working under Governor Waititu. He claimed that Waititu does not consult him or the cabinet on key issues. "He (Waititu) is a one-man show and has no ear for consultation,” said Nyoro.
