Kiambu deputy governor James Nyoro has reiterated that the county will go on with its planned demolition of business stalls erected along road reserves and sewerage lines.
This is despite protests from the owners who insist that the exercise is discriminate and punitive following Governor Ferdinand Waititu's directive last Friday on the same.
However, the deputy governor said on Sunday that the structures are illegally and must be removed to pave way for a better reconstruction.
"We will continue demolishing the structures that are crowding our towns. If we have to reconstruct them, it must be done in accordance with the law", he said.
He added that as a county government they will not sit and watch as people violate the law by apportioning themselves space and erecting illegal structures.
Nyoro spoke during a church service at PCEA Stanley Kahahu church in Limuru sub-county.
