Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu has called on NASA leader Raila Odinga to retire from politics.
According to Waititu, ‘God has refused’ Raila and he should, therefore, restrain from issuing demands to the Jubilee administration.
Waititu told Raila: "You have tried and lost. It is God who has refused you. Stop troubling us and threatening to do this or that. There are laws...the President should be firm in its application,” said Waititu.
Waititu further accused the ODM party leader of being behind violence that rocked parts of Nairobi last week.
Last week on Friday, opposing youth groups clashed leading to the destruction of property and injuries.
The former Kabete MP noted that Raila must respect the constitution as he fought for it.
Waititu was speaking on Wednesday in Ol Kalou constituency, during the burial of Reverend Samuel Kimemia.
The Reverend was Nyandarua Governor Francis Kimemia's younger brother.
