Kiambu gubernatorial aspirant Ferdinand Waititu blames Govenor Kabogo for high fees and levies in Kiambu County.

Waititu, who won the Jubilee nominations, said that Kabogo had ignored the needs of the people of Kiambu thus leading to the cause of failing businesses.

In a press release meeting at Sahara West Hotel at Ruaka, Waititu said that he will bring new reforms and laws in Kiambu that will favor the common ‘mwananchi’.

“We will do away with all laws passed by the current administration so that they can match the level of the local people because our intention is to transform the county by improving its economy,” Mr Waititu said.

The Kabete MP expressed that the current state does not enable trade and businesses to strive and thus leading to under development in the county.

“Market traders and small business holders cannot cope with the annual levies,” he said, adding that the construction industry has been grounded to a halt by the “demands of this regime”.

“This is the time to redeem ourselves so that we can bring back the glory of Kiambu and the pride of the people of Kiambu,” said Mr Nyoro.

Waititu promised that if elected he would restore Kiambu and make it better. Meanwhile Mr Kabogo is defending his seat as an independent candidate.
