Nchogu, Omwanza  & Nyasimi Advocates law firm has written to the university seeking for clarification over the county boss academic records.

The law firm wrote to the institution to authenticate the validity of a Bachelor of Business Adminstration Degree the lawmaker alleges he acquired in 2012.

The move comes after a petitioner, Mr, Mark Kapchanga Kemoi questioned the governor’s qualifications to hold such a public office.

"The above referred person (Governor Mahamud) allegedly graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Course. We hereby request your good office to supply us with particulars of information concerning the above referred student in your institution,” reads part of the letter of the law firm, as quoted by the Star.

The law firm wants the university to provide it with copies of his academic qualifications including academic transcript and degree certificate to ascertain whether he is fit to hold public office following his election as county boss of Wajir.
