Mandera County department of conflict management, cohesion and integration in partnership with National Police Service has opened up Malkaroqa/Ardagarbicha police base.

“Through the partnership, a number of officers have already been deployed to enhance security in the area,” said Ali Roba, the county boss.

Those in attendance were Banisa legislator Hon Mohamed Abdow Hajji and county police Commandant Job Boronjo.

County AP commandant Suleiman Rashid was also present among other senior county officials.

The group later visited farmers at Malkaroqa and Ardagarbicha farms, where they called upon the locals to co-exist peacefully and share the resources peacefully.

The county government also promised to renovate water facilities in the area.

“My administration will renovate the water facilities in the area for use by residents,” said Roba.
