Whereas some said the county chief had done a tremendous job in transforming the county, others said Abdullahi had wasted the five years and needed a replacement.

“It’s my right to comment as a bona-fide resident of Wajir County! It is very hard for Governor Ahmed Abdullahi to defeat both the Jubilee candidate and the PDR diplomat! The worst devolution has done to the people of Wajir is creating gods (Jiir) and semi Gods (cronies),” Abdullahi Musa, a resident posted.

He went on: “You can't brag to be a development orient guy when all you do is skew and sideline areas which you see as a threat to your political future.”

Another resident, Yusuf Shimow supported Abdullahi Musa. “What Abdullahi [Musa] is saying is the reality.”

Abdullahi further said the governor would find it hard to get re-elected.

“Your county fails to recruit doctors and you cut off power from some area because you heard the community there was fronting one of their own for your position.” he said.

Abdiwahid Mahmud, however, deferred with the two.

“On this I will differ, I am from the Ajuran clan and I give the governor thumbs up. He has done what the clan expected.”Maash Billow on the other hand was in agreement with Abdiwahid. He said those criticizing the governor had personal issues with him.

“This is the rare occasion I regret following your timeline,” he said of Abdullahi Musa.

“You go so low on very meager enticements and you easily forget that the same leader you once praised is the same one you are defaming. My one cent advice to you, shun being used as a tool to fight the performing leader, lest one day you may need him,” Billow posted.
