A Mombasa criminal gang 'wakali kwanza', is said to have shifted its criminal operations from Mombasa county to Kwale county.
The criminal gang is known for terrorizing residents, especially at nights, with knives and pangas, where they loot people their belongs as well as causing injuries to others.
The gang was earlier operating from Likoni and Kisauni, where they were terrorizing residents.
Security sources say the outlawed group have now shifted its operations to Kwale county. This is after the gang was, in the past few weeks, so much trailed by the police, which led to one of its members, who was said to be one of the leaders, gunned down in Kisauni. He was buried in last week at his residence home, Mtongwe, Likoni constituency.
It is said the gang, 'wakali kwanza' have now infested Barabu, Mwashime and Mwatembe in Matuga Sub-county, Kwale County.
The residents from the mentioned areas have started suffering in the hands of this gang. They attacked a lady at Ng'ombeni area where they took all her belongs before they left without injuring her.
"Her belongings were seized by the group. Luckily, she was not injured. Ng'ombeni area is of late very insecure" said the father to the lady attacked by the gang.
