Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has reinstated Walter Mongare as county director of communication.
Mongare was suspended in May and later sacked for failing to submit copies of his academic and professional documents including Helb,to the county public service board.
He was replaced by former Bungoma communication director, Noela Musundi who had a short stint at City Hall as she was sent on compulsory leave for unclear reasons barely a week after reporting to work.
But on Tuesday, county secretary Robert Ayisi wrote to Mongare asking him to resume duty on Thursday.
“Reference is made to my correspondence ref: NCC/CS/RKA/674/2016 dated May 3, 2016. I also refer to communication the county public service board on the above matter. Consequently, this is to inform you that it has been decided you resume duties with effect from Thursday the 4th day of August 2016,” read a notice from Ayisi.
Before working for Governor Kidero, Mongare was the communication director for Kisii County government.
He has held several marketing, communication and media roles across the media industry.
